Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) airguns
Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) airguns are the newest technology in powering air rifles and air pistols. The PCP airgun has an attached air reservoir  that’s capable of storing highly compressed air. This reservoir is a bottle or tube and is normally found in the butt stock or under the barrel. It will be connected to the breech. Depending on the make and model of Pre-Charged Pneumatic airgun, it will have a maximum pressure ranging somewhere between 2000 psi to 4500 psi.

How are PCP airguns filled?
Use a personal high pressure compressor or larger highly compressed air bottles to fill the smaller reservoir on the airgun. These larger bottles are called SCBA high pressure tanks. The SCBA tanks can be filled at a local SCUBA shop, a Fire station, or using a personal high pressure compressor. Please call the SCUBA shop or Fire station to verify they offer this service before showing up with your SCBA tank.
